Serrambi Resort

My kids were happiest spotting the bunnies, birds, and lizards around the property, and the beachfront view really is stunning. The beach is lovely and relaxing, and the food we ordered was decent, though pricey. Those are the main reasons for my two stars. The room we were first assigned was so cramped that we felt pushed into paying for an upgrade. The Presidential Suite we moved to was spacious and comfortable. The buffets at breakfast and dinner were a letdown, though: bland, repetitive, and almost the same each night, with little flavor. We kept wishing for salt, garlic, and some seasoning. The arcade was always packed, there wasn’t much to do at night, and dinner started too late for young kids. For what we paid, I think there are better choices. I wouldn’t recommend the resort unless the view alone makes it worthwhile for you.

We still had a nice time, and the location is very pretty with a good pool. But the service, especially at reception, felt unfriendly. They were really mean about water. You can’t get any unless you keep paying for it, which is annoying.

The beach is fantastic for shallow-water snorkeling, and it’s great for kids. Most of the staff were very friendly, the accommodations were good, and they handled requests quickly. Breakfast and dinner were included, and the food was good for a place serving so many people. Lunch choices were limited and expensive. I also couldn’t get the shower temperature under control, so I ended up taking very hot showers every day. I didn’t like that, especially once I got a bit sunburned.

The grounds are spacious and pleasant, and it gets much quieter during the week. There are lots of kids around on weekends. We liked the beach, food, and room service, and our room with a private pool and balcony was nice. The cleaning could have been better, especially during covid. There was a film on the pool glass that came off when I ran my finger over it. We called to have the pool cleaned, but the glass was still left dirty. It’s a nice place overall.
