The whole team was so welcoming and courteous to the guests, and I had a really pleasant stay because of it. A special thank you to Catarine, Talita, Nei, Andreza and Regiane. To Rede Andrade Management, I’m writing to formally report an unacceptable incident at Hotel Palácio in Itabuna on 13/05/2026. After a long workday, an employee walked with me to the parking area. I asked for some quick guidance, but he left me talking to myself, got on his motorcycle and drove away, saying his shift had ended. After I got out of my vehicle, a staff member locked the parking gate, leaving me trapped inside the garage. I tried calling reception several times, but no one answered. It was dark and uncomfortable, and the staff had apparently not checked whether any guests were still there before locking up. I was locked in for almost half an hour. I tried using the light switch to get someone’s attention, without success. Eventually I banged repeatedly on the gate and asked a passerby for help. They called the hotel staff, who finally let me out. The employee said she thought no one was there, which shows a worrying lack of care for guest safety. A hotel of this kind should have a procedure for checking the area, or at least an effective monitoring system to make sure guests can leave safely. People come to a hotel to rest, not to deal with the stress and insecurity I experienced. I’d like a formal response from the chain about what steps will be taken to prevent this happening to other guests and putting their physical safety at risk. I look forward to hearing back urgently. We booked two rooms for a family trip, and had an excellent stay at Rede Andrade Itabuna. The place was cozy, clean and well cared for, with comfortable beds and pillows that made it easy to rest while traveling. Manoel at reception stood out for being attentive, helpful and always ready to lend a hand with a smile. He really made a difference to our stay. I highly recommend the hotel, especially the great service from Manoel at reception and Luana in the restaurant.
