A Bananeira Azul Hostel

Cris and Bruno, the owners, were lovely. The place was clean, breakfast had fruit, bread, cake, and juice, and the location worked well for getting around without a car. There's no parking if you're driving, though. My main complaints were the very soft mattress and the shower's weak water flow.

Xavi and Mara made us feel at home and were always checking that we were comfortable. They also shared tips on places to eat and things to do. My mother and I spent four wonderful days there, including two hikes: one to Prainha with Xavi, and another to Jeribucaçu beach with Xavi and Mara. We passed Usina waterfall and went through the mangrove on the way to the beach. It was beautiful, and we took lots of photos. A big hug to Xavi and Mara, and may God bless you both.

It’s a small inn, but the owner does everything she can to make guests feel comfortable, safe, and cared for.

There was a huge patch of fungus on the bathroom ceiling, almost like mushrooms. Disgusting.
