Aldeia do Mar

The room was spacious and clean, with nice-smelling bath products, and breakfast was great. The hotel grounds were beautiful and large, and the beachside location was excellent. The pool looked bigger in the photos than it really was, and could have been cleaner. The pool bar was very expensive too. On our first morning, construction right beside our accommodation made a lot of noise. The hotel knew about it but hadn't told us. At these prices, I expect good service, including a heads-up about something that disruptive. They did move us to a better room after we complained, but the noise still made for an unpleasant morning. The restaurant was also much pricier than places just 50 metres down the beach, and I didn't think the food quality justified it. Wi-Fi was extremely bad, and overall the stay was overpriced. With such a large property and high prices, I would have liked more options on site, like a sauna or a sports area.

We had a wonderful stay at Aldeia do Mar and can't wait to return. The property and room were beautiful and clean, with a lovely waterfront area and a very nice pool. It felt like great value for the money. Check-in was a bit slow and clunky because of the online forms, and the English was a little rough, but after that they were always available, helpful, and friendly right through to departure.

We were close to nature in the huge garden, full of birds, and the hotel is right at Concha beach. The restaurant has a lovely beach view, and the staff are gentle and kind. Breakfast was marvelous, and the bedroom was good, very large, with a queen-size bed.

The breakfast is a dream, and the food and drinks were delicious. The pool is lovely, the beach is right there, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
