Maré Mansa Pousada e Hostel

We booked two nights in Itacare at the last minute, and Elisa was so welcoming from my first WhatsApp message. Maré mansa is a cute, simple hostel with private rooms as well as shared ones. The staff were very kind and helpful, and they speak English, so communication was easy. Breakfast had eggs, cuscuz, bread, fruit, cake, coffee, and juice, just what we needed. We had to leave before breakfast on checkout day, but when we mentioned it, Elisa went out of her way to pack cheese sandwiches, cut-up fruit in Tupperware, and cake for our trip home. If you want somewhere simple, comfortable, and friendly, I highly recommend Maré Mansa. Looking forward to visiting again!

It's an easy walk to the town center and places to eat, and the pousada is near the beach where the fishing boats are. The place was clean, the staff welcoming and friendly, and there's a nice indoor area where you can eat and have breakfast. They have a shower too. Breakfast could use more options, though there seemed to be too few staff. There was only one person working during breakfast, so if you needed to check out, you had to wait for her to be free. There were lots of mosquitoes.

Really nice atmosphere and great service. It's a quiet, cozy hostel, and I love it. I'll definitely be happy to come back!
