Pousada Tãnara

This was my second visit to Pousada Tañara, and it was just as lovely. The rooms are comfortable, with terraces and hammocks looking out over the ocean, and breakfast is excellent. Neila is so kind and helpful. The location is ideal, close to Tiririca beach and about a 10-minute walk from town. A real gem.

We loved relaxing in the hammock on the Condor’s Nest balcony and watching the surfers and the beautiful sea. Pousada Tãnara feels like a little bit of heaven, almost like a magical Miyazaki hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and Nele was so welcoming and quick to respond.

The place is spotless and well cared for, just a few steps from the beach and a 10-minute walk to the center. Nela was so helpful and made us feel at home. Breakfast was rich and varied, one of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

We had the top room, with a view of the ocean. It’s a small, intimate wooden room, rustic but thoughtfully designed, clean, and comfortable. Sleeping with the breeze and the sound of waves breaking on shore, without air conditioning, was an incredible experience. The inn sits across from Tiririca, one of the nicest beaches around and probably the best surf break. There are restaurants on the beach for lunch. Getting to the town center, with all its restaurants, takes about 10 minutes on a beautiful walk through native vegetation. The location is perfect. Breakfast is very good, with different options each day and an ocean view. The service was great, and I’m especially grateful to the owner Nelly, Manu, and Edilene for their care. I really believe this is the best place to stay in Itacaré.
