Pousada Femcut

My fiancée and I stayed for four days. The reception and kitchen staff were always kind and attentive. Breakfast was generous, and lunch and dinner had more than one main dish option, with everything served hot and made fresh. The beach is 200 meters away, an easy walk. I recommend it and would come back.

The property itself has a lot going for it and looks quite new. The rooms have a double bed, bunk bed, wardrobe, fridge, sink, one-burner stove, bathroom, and a ceiling fan over the double bed. I think the bunk bed needs its own wall fan, since it would get hot there in summer. The pool is a good size, and parking is in the basement. The package includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I was disappointed with how the food was prepared, not just the dishes themselves. At breakfast, fruit, bread, and cakes were left exposed to mosquitoes, and the juice wasn't fresh, more like Tang. Lunch and dinner were similar: the beans looked old and watery, the chicken and red meat were swimming in oil, and the salads had blended oil instead of olive oil. The dining room has two large air conditioners, but they were only turned on if someone asked. It got very hot, with lots of flies and mosquitoes. We stayed three nights, ate dinner out twice, and went out for lunch once because of the food. We also asked if we could book just the room with breakfast, but were told the full meal package was the only option, which was a shame.

The meals were tasty, and I really enjoyed our stay. The pousada is pretty, close to the beach, and has a pool, snack bar, basement garage, and rates that include three meals a day. The only thing that needs work is the leaking roof. Since it rained while we were there, we found leaks in several places, including the dining room, stairs, and our bedroom. Water came through the light fixture and soaked the bed. We reported it and they promptly moved us to another room. The days were still really pleasant, and I recommend the place 👏😀

The staff are the pousada's greatest asset. Everyone was polite, helpful, friendly, and responsible, and they followed the house rules. I asked for a fried egg at breakfast, but was told management doesn't allow it. That was fine. Thanks very much to everyone, and see you again soon. It's a great place with a good, comfortable setup.
