Pousada Pinhais do Martinelli

Excellent.

The breakfast was simple but good and tasty. The rest of the place needs an urgent renovation. Our beds were old and broken, the toilet was clogged, and after asking for firewood for two days, we were given pieces of old tables and chairs, door frames, and moldy wood. We heard other guests complain about burned-out showers, holey towels, and rooms falling apart. There was only one employee on each shift. She tried to help us, but on her own there wasn't much she could do. A proper renovation and more staff could make a big difference.

Breakfast was served in a small, dark room with a low ceiling. The food was poorly made, and the employees shouted to each other across the room. The bathroom was awful and badly maintained, and the beds were hard. The pillow was just a thin layer of foam wrapped in TNT, and, believe me, back pain was unavoidable. This was probably the worst pousada I’ve stayed at, and the worst value for money. Don’t come here. It was a waste of money for me.

A peaceful place, great for getting away from the bustle of a big city. We got a warm welcome, and the chalet was breathtaking.
