Pousada Solar Das Águas, S/N

It was such a welcoming, clean, airy place, with a lovely view and a calm atmosphere. I loved the pousada and was treated really well. I’m already missing it. I recommend staying here.

The room was good, with a comfortable double bed and a single bed. The shower had good pressure and got properly hot, and there was a fireplace with firewood that was easy to light. The linens were good, as were the towels, and there was a mini fridge. The pousada is very basic, with nothing besides the chalets. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and plentiful, but you have to walk 300 meters to get it. The chalet is on a property with an open gate, which made us feel unsafe. It was expensive for three people, especially since there’s so little offered. I wouldn’t return.

The room was pleasant and the bed comfortable, but the reception service felt curt. I was placed in a nicer chalet and thought it was an upgrade, so I mentioned it out of honesty. They checked and told me I couldn’t use any of the extra facilities in the room without paying an additional fee. I ended up with a hot tub taking up space that I wasn’t allowed to use. Breakfast was a long way away and nothing special. The cheese bread was just tapioca starch. For what I paid per night, I expected more.

The chalet was spacious, with a hot tub and fireplace. Those were the only real positives. For the price, the pousada offers very little beyond the chalet and breakfast, which was poor. You can find much better places in the area, with pools, saunas, and wonderful breakfasts, which are traditional here. Breakfast is served at another pousada about a five-minute walk away. The chalets are next to a building supply store and across from the main road. Dogs bark every day before 7 in the morning, and for this region it’s a noisy place.
