Pousada das Bromélias

The pousada is simple but very cozy and well located. Sr Eduardo was a great host. I recommend it.

We booked two chalets through Booking in November for New Year's, for two couples. The host wanted us to pay outside the app. Since we didn't know him, we wanted to keep the booking and payment on the app. He simply gave our room to someone else and told us only two weeks before New Year's. It was a huge disappointment after we'd made all our plans, and at that point we couldn't find another pousada near the avenue. Thankfully, so we wouldn't lose the money we'd put into the New Year's celebrations, a dear acquaintance happened to have two rooms available in a chalet and we were able to stay there. When I called the host to try to sort it out, he barely let me speak and kept interrupting. I don't understand why someone would use an app to handle bookings and then try to bypass its payment process. When I contacted Booking, they told me we shouldn't have canceled and should have kept the reservation. I'm extremely frustrated.

It's such a lovely pousada, a beautiful spot for anyone who really wants to rest. The room is cozy, the pool is wonderful, and there's also a sauna and barbecue area. The owners, Piqueta and Maria Luiza, are always available and so kind. They help whenever they can and suggest places to visit and eat. I love this place and recommend it to everyone. I've stayed several times and plan to keep coming back whenever I visit Serra!!!

The hospitality was excellent, and the breakfast was wonderful. Really good stay!
