The building looks almost new thanks to how well it’s cared for. There’s parking on the property for up to four cars, so book well ahead. The rooms are good and have air conditioning, electric key fobs, and Wi-Fi. Breakfast is excellent, and the recanto itself is great. Mr. Guedes and his wife are top-notch owners.
Getting there was the main drawback. GPS didn’t find the main road and sent us down a narrow sandy street. The place is on Praia do Bitingui, about a five-minute drive from Japaratinga. The hosts are wonderful, a couple with exceptional warmth and hospitality. The rooms are small, but everything is new. There’s good air conditioning, a minibar, TV, and a large bathroom. Breakfast is simple but plentiful, with typical Northeastern Brazilian food. There’s also a shared kitchen with a microwave, sandwich maker, plates, cutlery, and other basics.
A great inn.
