The room and bathroom were clean, and both the air conditioner and fan worked well. The inn is fairly close to the center, though the sandy walk there could be difficult if you don't walk often or have mobility issues. Breakfast had very few choices. I’d still recommend the place, weighing the good against the drawbacks. I’d suggest checking the curtains.

The breakfast was simple but tasty. I went early to get out sightseeing, so I can’t say whether there was enough for all the guests. As for the location, it’s on a side street off Iracema, not on Rua Iracema as the website says. It didn’t seem too far, though it isn’t in the center. Only Sr. Allan was there to help, and he was polite. The place still seemed to be getting organized, and the facilities fell short. The bathroom walls in the shower area and the curtain weren’t clean, the toilet seat was broken, and the floor was only somewhat clean. The room was smaller than I expected from the website photos. There was hardly anywhere to put things: the only small cabinet had a TV taking up its top. I stayed three nights and didn’t leave the key at reception. I also kept my valuables with me when I went out, since the place didn’t feel very secure.

I left before my reservation ended because staying there had become unworkable. The rooms weren’t cleaned, the inn was very dirty, and even the bathroom trash wasn’t taken out. One day the water was off. I asked politely for my room to be cleaned, but when I got back from the beach it smelled of feces. I bought a 20-liter water jug and cleaned the bathroom myself. The place felt abandoned and unsafe. There were no staff around, and the only young man working there was a volunteer who stayed in exchange for lodging after having trouble with the law and nowhere to live. He was often away doing other jobs. The keys were left where anyone could get in. I wasn’t checked in, but they still used my Booking reservation to charge for the stay, which wasn’t part of the booking. Everything on Booking about the inn was false, in my experience. I tried to work things out with the young man. The owner, Cristiana de Oliveira, was never seen there; I only learned her name from the charge notice on my credit card. I found the place awful and misleading, with people who seemed unprepared or possibly ill-intentioned.
