Vila Kalango

A little slice of paradise, with a great spot for watching the sunset. It's rustic and natural, so it's not for you if you need air conditioning or a TV in your room. The staff are awesome, and special thanks to Jefferson for the cocktails. The location is a bit away from the crowds and noise, which we liked.

The restaurant is a must. We chose the peace of the hotel and ate there every night, and breakfast was fantastic too. Since we came to kitesurf but wanted to stay in Jeri, we really appreciated the several daily transfers to Rancho do Peixe. The property is impeccable, with coconut palms all around the bungalows, and we loved that it was a sustainable stay. All the reception and restaurant staff deserve praise, especially Ludvig, Jefferson and Rita, along with Daniel (both of them), Gabriel from reception, and Yasmina. Special thanks as well to Francisco from reservations and the lovely Milena from concierge. We'd gladly come back.

Vila Kalango is a great place to unwind. The staff are so friendly and helpful that you feel like part of a family. There's also a surf center attached, with rentals and lessons. The bar is the place to go for good drinks and entertainment, and a shout-out to Jefferson, the best bartender in town! If I make it back to Jeri, I'll definitely return. It was one of my best holiday experiences so far, if not the best.

The owners have thought through every detail, and the restaurant never let us down. We ate there often because the food was the best in town. The staff were outstanding: Dudu, Forest Gump, Daniel, Rita, Carol, the kitchen team and reception, all of them. We felt like we were staying with friends. As a business owner in the US, I know how hard it can be to find a whole team like that. We were planning to stay at Esenza next door, but after seeing Vila Kalango's reviews, we're very glad we chose this place. We definitely recommend it as a star in Jeri. So many little touches made it feel like an oasis: comfortable beds, complimentary sweets in the bedroom each day, a welcome local drink, and water bowls by the room entrance to wash sand off your feet. Even the tablecloths were changed all the time. Everything felt stylish and creative. I wish they sold some of it, like the natural mosquito repellent, umbrellas, pool towels and rugs. The location and food were wonderful too. Kudos to the owners.
