We had a really bad stay here. Eight of us were split between two rooms: the air conditioner leaked in one, and the shower was broken in the other. For the shower, we were told to use another room's bathroom. For the leaking AC, the people from that room were asked to sleep in the same room where we were using the alternative bathroom. It was a huge mess. They said we should have reported the AC earlier, even though they clearly knew it was broken because the wall had stains from the leak. The toilet in that bathroom was unstable too. On top of that, someone in our group had her bag of shampoo stolen or thrown away in the bathroom. When we raised it, a staff member said he'd look through the trash to see if it was there. Even if it had been, who would use shampoo taken from a dirty trash bin? With the pousada charging such a high price, this kind of experience was unacceptable.

We went in April, me, my boyfriend and four friends, and loved the pousada. The service was great from reception to the bar waiter and breakfast. The hair dryer in my room was faulty, but they fixed it straight away. The only downside is that it's far from the center and the beach.

They welcomed us well, and breakfast had a good variety, but the place strongly smelled of cat pee and poop. The balcony wasn't private; opening the door led to a corridor. There was no window in the room, so if you don't like air conditioning, you'll roast in there. Frogs got into the bathroom, there were cats everywhere, and the pousada was far from restaurants. I didn't get used to the strong smell in the sand either, with both the cats and donkeys leaving unpleasant odors. I wouldn't return to the pousada or the village of Jericoacoara.

The breakfast was kept separate from what the other guests received, and we had no room service during our 3 to 4 days there. It wasn’t a good stay for us, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms were clean and smelled fresh, and the pool was wonderful. The breakfast was also great, and the staff were lovely, especially Roberta, the manager. A wonderful pousada.
