For a small group, this is one of João Pessoa’s best value stays. The two-bedroom apartment is well located, just a few minutes’ walk from the city’s biggest shopping mall. It’s on the second floor of Village del mar 1, apartment 321, and sleeps up to seven: two in a double room, three in a single room, and two on the living room sofa bed. There’s a fan and Wi-Fi. The rate for up to seven people is 210 reais per night, or 30 reais each. That doesn’t include linens, which you can bring or rent for 20 reais per double bed and 10 reais per single bed; bath towels, which you can bring or rent for 10 reais each; the required final cleaning, which you can do yourself or pay 80 to 130 reais for; or mineral water, at 15 reais or proportionally.

The apartment felt oppressive, was full of clutter and wires, seemed extremely hot, and I worried about a short circuit. Léo contacted us on WhatsApp with a long list of demands. We left the place exactly as we found it, and all we did there was sleep and shower. Even the water he left in the fridge would have cost extra if we drank it. There were so many charges mentioned verbally that none of us could relax. We were so alarmed we wanted to leave right away, but couldn’t find a hotel or inn with an available booking. Unfortunately, this was the only option we had. I hope I never have an experience like that again.

One of the best value places in João Pessoa, especially if you bring your own sheets and towels and handle the final cleaning. The pricing feels fair and honest. It’s close to everything, with internet, covered parking, and a 24-hour front desk.
