The location is good, but the only sea view is from the pool solarium. There’s no water filter, toilet paper, or cleaning service or change of sheets and bath towels unless you hire and pay for cleaning. On the plus side, it’s handy to have a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and stove.

I like a more home-like stay than a hotel, and this was a good fit. The apartment has a kitchen and balcony, and the beach I consider the best in João Pessoa is right across the street. There’s also a pool and an incredible view over the lively waterfront, with good restaurants and everything else close by.

The rooftop pool is a nice feature, and the view over the sea and the city’s busiest waterfront is beautiful. Apartamento Tambaú à Beira Mar is in Edifício Solar do Atlântico, close to Feirinha de Artesanato de João Pessoa. The accommodations are new and comfortable, and the people there are attentive.

I stay there every year. Having an apartment gives me more freedom to move around, with a kitchen and living room as well as the bedrooms. The caretakers are helpful too.
