The rooms may not be especially modern, but we were very happy with ours. It had air conditioning, a TV, fridge, safe, a nice bathroom, and an ocean view. The hotel is unbeatable value for the price. It’s right opposite the beach, with excellent, friendly service. Upstairs there’s a pool, jacuzzi, children’s basin, steam bath, and bar, plus a separate level for a bit more quiet. There’s an Italian restaurant on site and a cool, pleasant lobby. Countless other restaurants and plenty of shopping are just a few minutes away.

The staff are friendly, and breakfast is delicious. The beds felt too firm for my taste, though, and the rooms are dated and could use repairs and a makeover.

The hotel is clean, breakfast is very nice, and free parking and Wi-Fi are included. My room was lovely, with a king-sized bed facing the ocean. It’s a relatively small hotel in the Tambaú area, right by the beach in Joao Pessoa’s main tourist district, and the staff were friendly and helpful. For less than $50 a night, the cost-benefit is excellent. What’s not to like?
