Gold Flat Cabo Branco

The room did at least have a fridge and microwave, but I probably wouldn’t stay again. The WiFi was so bad it was really frustrating, and the beds were very uncomfortable. There was a hole in the shower ceiling that felt a little creepy, plus random black hairs everywhere. The air conditioning turns off when you leave, so it’s very hot every time you come back. Breakfast was below par too.

Room 217 was noisy, with children and dogs barking all the time. It felt like living in a dog shelter. The WiFi was very slow, and there was no TV signal. The reception couldn’t help. The room had only one chair, no couch or anything similar, and was missing a stove, oven, trash can, and coffee machine. On the plus side, there are washing machines downstairs and the gym is okay.

We stayed from 17/2 to 23/2/26, and the quiet street at night was a real plus. The hotel is well placed in Cabo Branco, just steps from the main avenue, with several restaurants and bars nearby. The area felt very safe. Breakfast was satisfactory and served from 6 to 10. On weekdays, you can also order lunch, available until 19:00 for an extra charge. You need to ask in advance, and you can eat it in the room, though the cutlery is plastic. The price was okay. Our spacious apartment, number 416 on the fourth floor, overlooked the pool. It had a microwave and a wardrobe, and the shower had great water pressure. But there were no utensils apart from two glasses. The TV was another letdown: the remote was broken, and there were only free-to-air channels. The pool stays open until 22:00, but it was full of children every day. There’s also a small gym and a sauna. Two elevators are available, including one service elevator that guests can use. I’d recommend the hotel.
