I had cold showers over the last two days, but everything else was fantastic. The hotel made me feel safe and welcome, and everyone who works there is great. The staff are super friendly, courteous, and professional.

That ocean-facing suite was much bigger than I expected when I booked: it had a queen bed in the main bedroom, a second bedroom with a single bed, a living area, and a veranda looking straight out to sea. There are only four oceanfront rooms, according to reception, and they cost a little extra. I thought the upgrade was worth it. The hotel has been open about 20 years, in Manaira, right across from the ocean. Reception said it has around 90 rooms, though TripAdvisor lists 136. The lobby looked lovely with its Christmas decorations, and there’s a pool at ground level by the entrance, a cute bar, and indoor parking for a small fee. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. Breakfast was included and very good, and the restaurant was clean and attractive. It’s in a nice neighborhood, close to shops and other conveniences, so I’d recommend it and would probably come back. My one complaint: a room this large came with just one towel. We asked the chambermaid for another, and she seemed annoyed by what felt like a pretty reasonable request.
