Legacy Suites

We only stayed because we couldn’t find another place, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Plan ahead and book somewhere else. The building is new, yet getting around on foot is difficult: cars are passing constantly, and the sidewalk is blocked by construction debris and rubbish, with a bad smell too. The hotel staff were rude and seemed uninterested, giving us a mocking look as if we were asking them for a favor.

We were there over Christmas 2025 in room 410, with three adults. The room itself was excellent: a useful kitchen, plenty of space for us, and everything worked properly. The location is great, just 50m from Bar do Cuscuz, and the staff were attentive and helpful. There’s also a handy laundry in the basement at a fair price. The main drawback was the painfully slow elevator. There’s only one for all eight floors, with lots of guests coming and going and housekeeping carts in use all day. With that much traffic, one elevator doesn’t seem enough for the flat. Street works are also causing some hassle right now, with sidewalks blocked and lots of debris and rubbish waiting to be collected.

The location works well, just behind the Cabo Branco avenue, with frequent local buses and Bar do Cuscuz 50 metres away. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are well kept, and the staff are friendly. The place offers good value for the price, though a microwave available for guests would be useful. Rooms vary depending on which one you book. I’d recommend 411, which was tidy, clean, and equipped. Breakfast costs extra, has few choices, and is the same every day. They should have something besides margarine to put on the bread.

We had a great stay from 25/12/25 to 03/01/26. The room was comfortable and well equipped, and the flat was clean and organized. Breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced, though it costs extra. The only thing I’d flag is that one elevator isn’t enough for everyone. Otherwise, all was good. I loved the experience.
