Manaira Flat Hotel

A few things to know if you're visiting in high season: the staff are polite, and the pool area is small but still comfortable. Rooms follow the same standard, though some improvements depend on who manages each flat. In mine, I missed having another mirror besides the one in the bathroom. Parking is shared and always full, so if you return late you may lose your spot and have to park on the street. The elevator system isn't very modern and takes a while to arrive. To get to the basement you need two elevators, because only the service elevator goes there. Also, the basement parking can smell a little like garbage since that's where they take the trash out.

Horrible experience in Apartment 501A. There were no bath towels or bathroom floor mat, the air conditioning didn't work, and there was no assistance. It just smells like a ball of disinfectant.

Everything was great, from the cleanliness to the service. I only stayed one night and had no complaints.

The Wi-Fi was great, and I could work without any trouble. The location also makes it easy to get around on foot: the apart hotel is one street from Manaira shopping mall, and the receptionists were very good. Room quality varied a lot, so it seemed to depend on luck. I first booked six days, then had to stay four more because of a change in plans and rented two additional rooms. They weren't alike. One, I think it was 1702 A, which I booked through Airbnb, had a sink and coffee capsules, and a proper bed. The other two had twin beds pushed together. The leisure area is lovely, but it's closed on Mondays and shuts at 6 p.m. The required maid service also let me down once: I requested it at reception on Monday, but nobody came. Luckily, there were no issues on the other days. For a short stay, the place works well. Even the rooms with sinks aren't really set up for cooking, despite what they say about cooking facilities. Also, keep in mind that the leisure area isn't open on Mondays.
