The staff were nice, and so was the cuscuz. That’s about the only good thing I can say. I complained about the conditions practically every day, including directly to the inn’s employees, so it’s not true that I never reported the problem. I’d already switched rooms once, and it was clear the issue wasn’t just one room. The beds and mattresses were very old and smelled strongly. Changing rooms again wouldn’t have fixed it. I didn’t stay because I wanted to or because I was satisfied. I stayed because CVC wasn’t effectively resolving the situation at the time. I would never have chosen to remain somewhere like that. My trip was supposed to be restful, but it turned into a nightmare. I could barely sleep, felt disgusted by the room and mattress, and came home sick with a sinusitis attack after days in an environment I considered unhygienic and poorly maintained. Having to go back to that room every day was awful. It was the worst trip I’ve ever taken. I’m not asking for luxury or a five-star hotel. Any accommodation should meet basic standards for hygiene, upkeep, and a decent night’s rest. I spent days unable to sleep properly and even felt sickened by the mattress’s smell and condition. The photos speak for themselves and clearly show what the place was like; I don’t need to exaggerate. CVC should be held accountable for offering this inn to customers. A place without adequate hygiene and comfort shouldn’t be included in travel packages. I also wonder whether this city inspects hotels at all. It’s outrageous for a tourist destination to let a place in these conditions operate normally. Hotels receiving tourists should face strict checks for hygiene, maintenance, and basic accommodation quality.
