Murad Palace Hotel

The attendant was good, and the hotel is near the road. But the bed had used sheets, there was a squashed mosquito on the bathroom wall, and the bathroom needs renovation. I also saw a cockroach walking on the breakfast room wall.

Wesley was wonderful, attentive, and helpful. He chatted and joked around with us, which made us feel comfortable. Sadly, I can't say the same about the other guy. He was very withdrawn and grumpy, and only said the bare minimum.

The hotel is in a great spot on the main street downtown, across from the only shopping mall and a lovely, well-kept square, with lots of shops nearby. I expected the street to be noisy, but it was surprisingly quiet, even on a Saturday night. The garage was okay. Breakfast was very poor, with few choices and no fruit at all. There were also no gloves for serving yourself as a Covid-19 precaution. My room was just reasonable. It was tiny, while the balcony was huge, almost bigger than the room itself. They could have made better use of that space. The bathroom door lock had a problem, and the toilet kept running. The double bed was small, and the TV had only a few channels, some with really poor picture quality.

The only good things I found were the garage and the Wi-Fi. We stayed on the third floor, in room 301 facing the shopping mall, and it was very quiet despite being downtown. But the room was tiny, with a balcony almost as big as the room. The bathroom door wouldn't close, and the toilet kept running until we figured out we had to pull a little pin to make the water stop. The double bed was very small, the duvet provided was a single, and the TV picture was really poor. Breakfast was very weak, with few choices and not a single fruit. The rest left a lot to be desired.
