Excellent!

Good value for the price.

The only good thing was breakfast. The bathroom was tiny, with barely enough room to dry off, and the toilet seat was broken. There was no daily room service, and the air conditioner was extremely noisy. The room was filthy: I found long hairs on the bathroom walls and on the sheets, which makes me think the sheets aren’t changed between guests. I’m bald, so they couldn’t have been mine. I don’t recommend this place.

Coming back to the same hotel each night was discouraging, but I couldn’t move elsewhere because I couldn’t get a refund on the reservation. I’ve complained to clube candeias, where I booked, and am waiting for a response and reimbursement. The room wasn’t cleaned on the second day, and every day we came back to wood dust on the floor from termites in the door. The double bed was two single beds pushed together. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mold, the shower stall was awful and tiny, and the showerhead was completely clogged. The bathroom door had no lock and kept opening by itself, and the air conditioner leaked down the wall, leaving the floor wet by morning. We booked for our family, but there was no door separating the children’s room from the couple’s room. At breakfast, a couple of other guests and I saw a cockroach on the floor. They very politely asked an employee to remove it, but she said she couldn’t and walked away laughing, saying there were lots of cockroaches in the hotel, especially on the upper floors. When we complained about all of this at reception, the receptionist responded sarcastically that this was just how the hotel was. I’ve included photos as proof. I didn’t photograph the cockroach in the dining room because we didn’t have a phone with us. It was a disgrace, and the worst hotel I’ve stayed at with my family.
