Pousada Salesianos

The owners are really lovely people. I haven't met the matriarch, but the father and sons are great, apart from one little thing: they're Palmeiras fans. Hahaha.

DEC/21 The Salesianos turned out to be a pleasant surprise. If you're looking for good value, it's one of the better options in the Salesianos area. There are other places nearby, but this one costs less, and what you get is in line with the price. Breakfast is basic but does the job: bread, cheese, ham, cake, fried egg, tapioca, local fruit, coffee, juice, and chocolate milk. Nothing fancy, but it has what you'd expect at home. The Wi-Fi actually works and reaches all the rooms. You can pick a simple, double, or triple room, and they all have air conditioning. Some have a minibar, though not all, so make that clear when you book if you need one. There's parking on the property. It isn't huge, but you can leave your car inside. The rooms are as plain as you'd expect, with a bed or beds, a table, a small wardrobe, TV with local free channels, and air conditioning. One thing that might bother some people is the basic shower, which has no hot water. The area may not need it, but after sleeping with the air conditioning on, you might want a hot shower in the morning. Other nearby options have more comfort and facilities for a higher price. At around 80-100 reais, the Salesianos is a good choice.

My husband and I stayed here on January 7 and 8, 2016, and we liked it a lot. We don't need anything luxurious, and the family atmosphere made a difference. The owners were very attentive. The rooms are simple but tidy, with air conditioning, a TV, and a fan, and the breakfast is quite basic. The inn is well located, and the price is excellent for what's offered. When we come back to Juazeiro, I'll look for it again. I recommend it to people who are also happy with a simple place. I think it's about 1 km from Rua São Pedro and the shopping mall, and very close to a church, though I'm not sure. I hope this helps, these comments helped me choose the place when I didn't know it. A pleasant place with parking, towels, and Wi-Fi, close to downtown Juazeiro do norte. It's a good option if you're coming from the airport and want to rest before catching a bus at the bus station or one of the vans heading into the interior of Ceará.
