ibis Styles Brasília Aeroporto

Friendly, attentive staff, good facilities for ironing clothes, and a gym for anyone who wants to keep up their workouts. Breakfast is included with several options, and dinner at the hotel is a good choice too. I paid 1600 real for two nights. The stay was very good, around 9/10, but a couple of things disappointed me. The rooms have Brazilian 220V sockets, but the hotel doesn't provide or sell adapters, so foreign guests should bring one or walk to the airport, about 15 minutes away, to buy one. There’s no airport shuttle, even for a fee. A taxi or Uber takes about three minutes and costs around 25-30 real each way. You can walk in about 15 minutes, which is okay during the day with only hand luggage, but might not be such a good idea at night. Including these options would improve the comfort of the stay and the hotel's ratings.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the shower was one of the best I’ve used, with great pressure and a really relaxing feel. The food was amazing, too. Still, I left early because I didn’t feel safe. At 5:30 AM, while I was asleep, a housekeeper opened my door and walked into the room. I was startled and thought someone was breaking in. It was frightening, and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I didn’t report it because I wasn’t sure how the hotel would respond or whether the housekeeper might be blamed unfairly. Someone clearly hadn’t passed along that the room was occupied, and that’s unacceptable. The front desk staff had also seemed cold and unwelcoming at check-in. I hope the hotel takes this seriously. The good meal and shower couldn’t make up for what happened.

It’s only about five minutes from the airport, which is handy. But if you’re coming from the US, check how many people are checking in, since the charge is per person rather than per room. The room is pretty small, and the facilities aren’t great. There were no blankets, only a thin sheet. The outside may look fancy, but you get what you pay for, and the lobby isn’t very comfortable for sleeping.

The restaurant served good meals, and my room was comfortable. The shower had plenty of water and was easy to adjust to the temperature I wanted. It’s an airport hotel, though the departure and arrival gates are about a ten-minute walk away. I didn’t find out whether they offer a shuttle. I’d selected the wrong month when booking, but the hotel found me a room and kept the same discounted rate I’d found on the site. I was welcomed very warmly.
