A handy little place near the airport for a short stay. The rooms are clean and roomy, with a lovely view of the pool and the lake behind it. Room service was quick, and the chicken cordon bleu was really good. There’s no minibar or tea kettle, which was the one downside. The lake and a nearby grocery store are within walking distance. An Uber from the airport was about $10 USD and took under 15 minutes. Spa services are available if you have time.

Some of the staff were lovely, but the service overall wasn’t especially helpful. Our key kept failing. When someone was nearby, they’d just tell us to get it changed instead of offering to help. Breakfast was nice, though birds were everywhere, eating from people’s plates, which felt really unhygienic. The room was nice enough, and the shower looked a bit worn but worked fine. There’s no kettle in the room for a hot drink. I asked at the front desk, but once I gave my room number, he said I couldn’t have one and would need to go to the restaurant. The gym was okay, just a bit small.

The location is great, close to Confins airport, and breakfast was good. The bed was okay, but the sheets looked cheap. There was no smart TV, and the cable channels were awful. I paid 500 reais for a place that was meant to be a luxury hotel, and what a disappointment. The bathroom was disgusting, with mold and limescale on the tiles. The towels were old, had mold stains, and didn’t look clean. It’s the worst hotel bathroom I’ve seen in a very long time. The elevator also wasn’t working around 6:30 a.m., so we had to carry our suitcases down four floors.

The rooms and restaurant are the best among the hotels in this area, and the location is nice if you’re staying in Lagoa Santa. But I’m giving it only two stars because the room card system is the worst I’ve experienced. The card loses its memory almost every day, so I keep having to walk back to reception for a new one. Staff always sort out a replacement, but they don’t address the problem beyond smiling or laughing. Even the manager says they can’t make a lasting fix, and doesn’t apologize for the hassle. It’s very dysfunctional. A nice hotel in other ways, but be ready to keep walking back to reception and adding to your step count.
