Ramada by Wyndham Lagoa Santa INTL Airport/Belo Horizonte

The food was a real highlight. I had shrimp risotto and wine for dinner, then fettuccini with steak for lunch. The meat was cooked exactly how I asked, and the pasta and cappuccino were delicious. The restaurant servers were friendly, and the rooms were nice and clean. My check-in experience was the opposite. I'd booked and paid online for one night before my flight. After a long, exhausting trip, the front desk woman wouldn't let me use the room Wi-Fi. She said my Brazilian passport wasn't enough and I needed a CPF, then said I couldn't log in without an international passport number either. I don't live in Brazil and didn't have a CPF with me. I thought she either didn't want to help or didn't know how to do her job, because once I got to the room I logged in as an international guest without any trouble. Nearly having no internet made me consider changing hotels. I needed to connect my work computer and tell my family I'd arrived safely. The same woman gave me two twin beds even though I'd requested a King bed in the booking.

The restaurant is good, especially the pizzas, and the customer service was great. But there were little flies or ants in the rooms, and it was noisy enough that you could hear everyone's footsteps.

The location is handy, in downtown Lagoa Santa and near BH international Airport. The hotel often accommodates aviation crews. Rooms are well maintained, there's a good restaurant on the ground floor, and the property has a garage.

The food is very good, though a little pricey, and there are some restaurants nearby. It's a good place to rest, except for the veterinarian right next to the hotel. If you're a light sleeper, the constant barking can keep you awake at night or early in the morning.
