The owners at Doce Lar made me feel like their son or brother, and I couldn’t have asked for friendlier service. I arrived with a bad sunburn and blisters on my feet, so I’m especially grateful to Renan for gladly driving me to the hospital to have my feet rebandaged, then taking me to a nearby restaurant each day of my stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was tasty, and the hostel itself is very pretty. I had a lovely stay last week. It’s great value and a hostel I highly recommend to anyone visiting Chapada Diamantina or Lencois.

I spent a week at Doce Lar while visiting Chapada Diamantina. The family was so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a great way to start each day. Thanks for the comfortable stay. I’d definitely recommend it. :)

The breakfast was amazing, with so much to choose from, almost like your mom had made it for you. There were banana cakes, pudim, coconut tapioca, different kinds of juices, homemade marmalade, and more. It was just right after tiring tours. I loved staying here. The owners treated us like family, and everything was very clean. The rooms were well equipped with internet, TV, and a frigobar. Guests can use the hammocks in the hallway, the shared kitchen, and the big garden.
