Pousada Canto dos Pássaros

The quiet nights were a real plus. I slept very well, and waking to birds singing felt just right for the natural setting. The staff were consistently kind and helpful, and getting to the pousada is easy with signs along the way. There are two short uphill stretches, one steeper, but manageable on foot or by car. The room was simple and functional, with a comfortable bed, a hot shower with good pressure, effective air conditioning, and a minibar. You can ask for an iron. My room had no window, which was a downside, though it didn’t affect my trip since I was mainly there for the trails. Both the room and bathroom are small, but worked for my stay. There were only two outlets, which could be inconvenient if you have several devices. The location makes it easy to reach nearby essentials: a gas station that sells water and drinks, a pizzeria, snack bar, ice cream shop, and mini market. Breakfast was simple but plentiful enough for this kind of pousada. It met my expectations for straightforward nature-focused lodging and was a comfortable, practical base for visiting the Chapada Diamantina trails.
