Hotel Donna Linda

I stayed here with my mother after her eye surgery, and we were both very comfortable. The beds and blankets were clean and smelled fresh, and the shower had plenty of water. Everything was well organized, and the owner was very helpful. We really enjoyed the stay and hope to come back another time.

The room was in terrible shape. The paint was peeling, and the light flickered on and off like in a horror movie. The bathroom ceiling was falling apart, the shower only trickled, the old shower stall was disgusting and rickety, and it looked as if it hadn't been washed since it was installed. The bathroom door wouldn't even close. There was an old tube TV I didn't even try to turn on, and the room's mold seemed ready to come greet me, not to mention the mold on the sheets. The hallway felt like a monster from Invocação Do Mal could come out at any moment, with the motion sensor literally at the end of the corridor. You couldn't close the door when going outside or you'd get locked out. I also found surprises, PINOS DE COCAINA, scattered around the hotel lobby. My experience with the hotel was horrible, simply the worst of my life. I arrived exhausted, and the host was polite and kind at first, but there were strange people around. I'd rather sleep in my car on the BR than get any rest there.

The room my brother and I stayed in was very dirty. There was what looked like renovation dust on the windows and glass, and the wall was filthy. There were ants on the floor, and tiny bugs crawling on the bed my brother slept in. There was no television, and the air conditioner was noisy. Breakfast was very basic, with bread and a few fillings, some fruit, coffee, and juice. The hotel as a whole isn't bad, and the owner is a really nice Spanish gentleman.

The family room was very basic. The electrical outlets were all loose in their boxes and had no faceplates. The bathroom door had no latch and wouldn't close properly. There was no television or minibar.
