Casa Della Bangalôs

This turned into a nightmare. I booked and paid for one night two months ahead, and the owner was helpful right up until two hours before check-in. My husband and I had planned a wedding anniversary celebration at casa della, traveling from teresina to luis correia, and I had ordered a cake and food for dinner. None of it happened as planned. A few hours before check-in, the owner messaged on WhatsApp to say things were being prepared and asked when we'd arrive. He gave me the number of an employee who was supposed to meet us. When we got there, nobody came to the gate, so we opened it and went in ourselves. There were only two painters working on some bungalows. I was told the employee had left early because he was off. The other bungalows, the ones not under renovation, were dirty and disorganized, as if they hadn't been cleaned since the last booking. There wasn't a ready bungalow or any staff around. I called the employee several times, though I feel that was the owner's responsibility, then tried the owner, but nobody answered or replied. I waited over an hour for an explanation and eventually left. A few hours later the owner messaged to say he didn't understand what had happened, would check, and would refund me, as I had asked. He never offered another solution, so I had to request my money back. It was deeply embarrassing. I had to find somewhere else to sleep, and otherwise would've had to drive back to teresina that same day. I was so worried I couldn't enjoy anything on the coast. I chose the place because it looked beautiful, had some good reviews, and the owner initially seemed helpful. It all went wrong. Note: When I first wrote this review, I hadn't received the refund. The owner got in touch a few days later and refunded me.

Terrible. Never book here. The shower and TV remote were broken, and they refused to move us to another room. We waited for maintenance, but the problem wasn't fixed. The room and bathroom were full of lizards and frogs. We spent the night unable to use the bathroom or sleep, with frogs jumping over our heads. There was no service or staff on site, just a night guard who couldn't help. The pool was dirty too. We paid 500 for one night. I wouldn't stay here even for free.

Awful stay. The owner was very sweet right up until check-in. I told them we'd arrive at night, but there was nobody there to welcome us or deal with the problems. The air conditioner was broken, and we waited from 8 p.m. until midnight for them to find us a room. Then, to top it off, the toilet wouldn't flush. It was too late to leave, so I had to sleep there. Breakfast was tiny portions, one small piece of papaya per person and only a set number of rolls. The next day I moved to a five-star hotel for the same price.

Don't book here. I made a reservation on the official website and got an email confirmation, so everything looked fine. Then I arrived to find the Pousada closed, with nobody there to receive me and the contact phone switched off. They only replied the next day, saying it was a system error and I had to find somewhere else myself. I see I'm not the first person this has happened to. If you want to avoid that kind of ordeal, don't reserve at this Pousada.
