We had a very unpleasant meal at Pousada Theodora restaurant. Four cats and a dog kept wandering around the tables, begging for food and scratching at our legs while we ate. Staff did nothing about it. Service was extremely slow, and the staff seemed uninterested, often leaving us waiting a long time before anyone paid attention to us. I ordered picanha but was served a plain pork chop instead, and the food took far too long to arrive. The food quality was well below what we expected, so the price felt especially poor for what we got. Based on this visit, we wouldn’t recommend eating here.

Staying at Theodora really added to how much I enjoyed Praia de Macapá. The owner is often around, making sure everything is in great shape, and the staff are super friendly. Breakfast was great, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and clearly cared for, with lovely buildings too. Probably the best place to stay in Macapá.
