Pousada Três Lagoas

The place has an interesting idea, but my stay was a zero. If you’re in the chalet, it may be okay, but I can’t recommend the house. The streets getting there are narrow, the access is poor, and we passed through some unpleasant areas. A bar nearby had live music, so I was awake most of the night. I stayed in the Macapá room. There was no mirror, even in the bathroom, whose walls were basically unfinished. The toilet leaked, there was no shower enclosure or squeegee, so the whole bathroom got wet after a shower. A wasp nest was on the loose bedroom light fixture. There were lots of mosquitoes, and the minibar smelled bad and was rusty. The bed was incredibly hard, and after just one night my back hurt. The pillows were so thin they seemed like sheets. Breakfast was very late. At 8 in the morning the table still wasn’t set, and when it came, it wasn’t anything special. No sheets or towels were provided. We had to open and close the gate ourselves, and it was nearly loose enough to fall on someone. There were dogs and cats at the pousada, which I personally don’t think suits a place like this, and some of the other guests at breakfast were quite unpleasant.

The only good thing was how beautiful the place looked. My family stayed from 19 to 22 December/2021, and it was the worst accommodation I’ve had. It’s far from everything, and mosquitoes left my one-year-old daughter covered in bites. On the first day breakfast included bread, cake, and juice, but on the second and third days there was only bread. I asked for cuscuz, waited an hour, and was charged for it. Towels and sheets cost 5,00 each, something I’d never heard of at a pousada or hotel. The menu was mostly an illusion, since they didn’t have what we asked for. We were out all day, but they still didn’t take the bathroom trash out or even sweep the room. We spent a long time waiting for the entrance and exit gate to open, which made us feel our safety was at risk. I booked three nights after seeing the pousada’s Instagram photos, but the reality was very different. Don’t be fooled by those pictures. There was also no water from the tap at times, and no hot water.

Camping here was a bad experience. The owner’s father was there, and he made me feel as if I were begging for a place. He kept pushing me to order food as though it were free. The bathrooms were very dirty, so I used the staff bathroom to shower once. They even charged me for charging my phone, which was the only time I used the electricity. They find a way to charge for everything.

It’s a peaceful place surrounded by nature, and I’d like to stay in one of the chalets next time. This time we were in an apartment on the top floor. The breakfast setup needs better organization, and the automatic entrance gate should be repaired so guests don’t have to get out of their vehicle while still outside to open it.
