Sitio Flor das Aguas

Absolutely awesome!

We ate at Flor das Água Bistrô, and the dishes were full of flavor and well balanced, a real burst of tastes. Kamila looked after us today. Even with the restaurant busy, she did a great job, and was attentive and helpful. The bistrô is attached to an inn beside Cachoeira encontro dos rios, which is a spectacle in itself. The menu, signed by Chefe Brás, is interesting, and the deck gives you an incredible view of the waterfall. Prices felt fair for the setting and the experience. This isn’t conventional cooking, there’s a chef coordinating the process, making it a great chance to try something different. We spent R$76,00 on Costelinha com Canjiquinha, R$78,00 on Filé de peixe c purê de banana e coco, R&68,00 on Linguiça com batata rústica, and R$8,00 per canned soda (x6). Total: R$305,10 with 13%. In my view, the experience was worth it!

I had a disappointing experience at Empório das Águas. I’d booked for 27 people to celebrate my birthday with Vitor, but when we arrived, the parking was far from the restaurant. We had to walk up a steep dirt road in the strong sun. Once inside, things were confused. Our reserved tables were in the sun, and Lumiar is usually pleasant, but it was very hot on 21/09/25. We asked the staff if we could move the tables. They said they had no orders from the owner, wouldn’t consider suggestions or offer any alternatives, and there was no dialogue. I canceled the booking. The person who responded, whether attendant or manager, just said “OK.” I don’t remember hearing an apology. I left with my guests feeling embarrassed and upset, with a cake and nowhere to take it. I messaged Vítor, who had handled the reservation, but didn’t get an apology from him either. A successful place also needs a warm welcome and polite, flexible staff.

At my friend’s birthday celebration on September 20, the restaurant set our tables out in intense sun on a hot day. The team wasn’t courteous, and they didn’t offer us another option. We couldn’t stay in those conditions, and the discomfort spoiled the celebration. I’d like to make a complaint about both the service and the table arrangement.
