Caroá Pousada

The room was dirty and quite dusty, and the bed sheets were very yellowed and stained. There were no towels or soap left for us, and the minibar was switched off and in such bad, dirty condition that I didn't even feel comfortable putting a bottle of water inside. I'd arranged to drop off my luggage before check-in, but nobody was there to meet me.

If you're thinking of staying at this inn, don't try to arrange it through their WhatsApp. Replies take a long time, they don't give you all the information, and the prices they quote can change within a few hours. The customer service team seemed completely unprepared and uninterested in helping. They make that pretty clear. Haha.

My first time in Maceió was a wonderful experience, and my first time at pousada Caroá made it feel like home. Gabriel and Larissa were so attentive and made us feel completely at ease. The people and the place have such incredible energy. The price met and even exceeded my expectations. We were welcomed so warmly and had a lovely time interacting with everyone. We even had a barbecue with a cashew drink made from fruit picked right then from the tree. Everyone who gets to know this place seems to think highly of it. Thanks again for your patience and dedication. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend staying here.

The owner was rude. We arrived from Curitiba at 1:30 a.m. and were left outside. He answered the intercom and told us check-in was only until 8 p.m., even though we'd already paid. We had to find a hotel right then. Hotel ciribai took us in without any trouble at 2:30 in the morning. It was a great hotel, and we're grateful they helped us. The inn's website does say they only attend to guests until 8 p.m., but he could at least have spoken to us properly. We checked Booking and saw there were rooms available. There was also a reservation for another day under our booking, and it had been paid. Instead, we were told to figure it out and come back the next day, after waiting outside the inn from 12:50 to 1:30 a.m., hoping someone would wake up. When he finally answered, he saw our reservation and payment on the intercom, but chose not to help. Then he came out to argue with us in the rain. We asked for a refund for the two double apartments, and they asked us to remove the complaint. Read the older complaints about this place.
