We ended up extending our five-day booking to seven because, when day five came, we just weren’t ready to leave. Sais Living Hotel made us feel at home in Maceió. The staff brought a lot of warmth to the stay. Every interaction felt genuine, and that welcoming feeling started as soon as we entered the modern, fresh-looking lobby. Praia de Pajuçara was right outside, with the ocean glowing blue. We looked forward to breakfast each morning. The buffet had tropical fruit, cheeses, and plenty of fresh choices. We also spent longer than planned at the rooftop pool and bar, taking in the beautiful beach view. A stay we didn’t want to end.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, like the rest of the hotel. The facilities are modern, impressive, and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful, with great attention to detail. Breakfast was plentiful, with a full range of choices that changed each day. The pools, solarium, and bar made the shared spaces relaxing places to enjoy the weather. It would help to have Spanish-speaking staff for guests who speak Spanish. The air conditioning in the common areas was also sometimes too cold. A lovely stay. I’d happily come back and recommend it.

The rooftop pool has a fantastic view and comfortable furniture, and the food was fabulous, well beyond what I’d expect from a five-star place. Breakfast had so many choices, including a full à la carte menu we enjoyed by the pool a couple of times. There are also two heated outdoor pools in another area, sublime. We stayed nine nights in sea-facing room 803. Since the hotel had only recently opened, all the facilities were immaculate. Staff were always cleaning, helping us, and checking whether we needed anything. Service was excellent throughout, from the gentleman at the door to the young man who helped with our luggage. Ana was incredibly helpful at the breakfast buffet, and Roggie at reception greeted us in the evening, was very kind, and showed us to a spectacular room. A couple of small things could make it even better. Some umbrellas at the rooftop pool would help when the sun is strong, though the palm trees do give some shade. It would also be useful to have somewhere to hang wet clothes and drawers for underwear or other small items. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, but the pillows were a little firm. Flatter options would be nice. I brought my own, so it didn’t bother me. Everything was wonderful. Thanks!

My favorite spot was the rooftop. The view is breathtaking, the pool is pleasant, and the loungers make it easy to stay awhile and listen to lively music. The bar has good choices, especially the passion fruit and coconut soda. I’d love to see a Pina Colada on the drinks menu. The sun can be intense, so umbrellas are needed, though I know this is already being looked into. It would also help if the rooftop kitchen opened there, so snacks didn’t have to come up from another floor and orders could be quicker, with more options. The Carnival entertainment was great. The whole team deserves credit. I want to thank Andreia and Isabelle at reception, Santana, Lane, Sara, Alcione, Raissa, Andressa, and Luane at the Roof top and restaurant, and Gustavo at Flor de sal. Managers, please keep valuing this wonderful crew! I stayed in a pôr do sol room, a good size for one person or a couple. It had quality toiletries, including Phytoervas shampoo and conditioner, and a great shower. The bed was comfortable, and daily cleaning was excellent. The drawback was sound insulation, since street noise came through at night and disturbed my rest. Breakfast was very good, with lots of breads, cakes, juices, cold cuts, fruit, cereal, coffee from a machine, tapioca made fresh, and other treats. The passion fruit and coconut mousses and pannacotta stood out. Breakfast at Flor de sal was a lovely experience, with a special menu and lots of good options. The leisure floor has a great gym and a large pool. There are also some reserved beach huts directly in front of the hotel for guests, so check with reception. The lobby is comfortable, with a bar and welcoming, tasteful decor. I had an excellent stay and highly recommend Sais. Hope to return one day!

The view is wonderful, and the rooms and bathrooms are very good. There are three pools: the rooftop and leisure-floor pools are fairly shallow and suit any age, while the heated lap pool is at the back of the leisure floor. It’s deeper than the others, but still a normal depth. Service was warm from arrival, when we were welcomed with a lovely Italian soda. Breakfast had an exceptional variety, and the gym was well equipped with a personal trainer. Izabella, our housekeeper, was so attentive and took great care of the rooms. I really recommend staying here.
