I wouldn’t recommend staying here. A lot is promised but doesn’t work reliably, and for the price, you can find other options. I was there for three days and saw the owner only on the first day, when she took payment, and on the last day, when she was helping another couple check in. It’s hard to raise an issue when only the maids and cook are around, and nobody answers WhatsApp. I messaged about the parking gate and still haven’t received a reply. At night there’s no staff besides the guests, no phone number to call, and it felt strange and worrying to have nobody available in an emergency. The parking was a problem from the start. I was told the gate closed at 10 p.m., though that wasn’t in the listing. On my first night I got back at 8:30 and there was nobody to open it, so I had to leave my car outside. Another guest couldn’t get their car out because nobody was there to open the gate, and had to order iFood. I later learned some guests had a remote and others didn’t. I wasn’t given one, and I don’t understand why. The room wasn’t ready properly either. The bathroom floor was still wet and smelled strongly of bleach, and the bath mat was more worn out than a cleaning rag. The double bed had a strange, uncomfortable split down the middle, so I had to sleep on one half instead of using the whole bed. It felt like two single beds pushed together. Breakfast is supposed to run from 7 to 10, but on Monday the 5th of January it was still closed at 7:10. I had an appointment that day, so that caused more stress. And although breakfast is included, you can’t count on it. The bed is listed as a double, but doesn’t feel like one. I can’t recommend this place.

The beach right outside is beautiful, but it wasn’t enough to make the stay worthwhile. There are probably better places nearby. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially if you’re traveling for work, since the poor welcome can start your trip off with stress. I was there for three days, and the service from the receptionist and other staff was awful. They seemed unwilling to help, and that bothered me most. If you work with the public, you should at least show some willingness to help. The breakfast was disappointing too, with hardly any choices, stale bread, and only two kinds of overripe fruit. I left hungry to go to work. They didn’t clean the room at all during my stay, and pool access was limited to a very short window.

The poor service alone was enough to put me off recommending this place. I asked Cris, who helped me that day, for an invoice so I could charge the company. Even though I had to stay three extra nights, she never issued the service invoice, and I ended up out of pocket. It felt disrespectful to customers not to provide one. The breakfast wasn’t good either. The bread was from the day before, and there wasn’t much variety.

I regret choosing this place for my vacation and won’t be back. They only clean the rooms every other day. For the very high rate in peak season, I expected at least a decent breakfast, but there was almost nothing to choose from. The bread was stale, the fruit was overripe, and the service was mediocre. It was so bad that I went out and bought fruit, bread, cold cuts, jam, and other things myself.

Cristiane was especially attentive throughout my stay, and her kindness and professionalism really made a difference. The service was a highlight. The pousada also felt welcoming from the moment I arrived, with comfortable, well-kept facilities. I had a great experience, recommend it, and would certainly return.
