Vista do Lago Jungle Lodge

I really enjoyed exploring the lovely little riverside community around the place, and it was nice knowing the money we spent stayed there. The food was great, and my translator Sofia was kind and knew a lot. Such an incredible experience, I'd recommend it to anyone.

We came hoping to try local food and get a feel for the culture, and had all kinds of adventures. The cottages were clean and had AC, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A chef cooked amazing meals, including five different kinds of locally caught fish. During the day we went fishing, hiked in the jungle, visited an indigenous tribe, and toured ruins and a village.

The beautiful views and all the chances to learn about the culture, nature, and wildlife made this one of our best vacations. It's a friendly, safe place, and the hardworking people make you feel like part of the family. We had a great time. Our guide Gabriel spoke English, and I'd highly recommend him if you want the full experience. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Amazonia, this is the place.

We booked directly with Lia, who was very patient and helpful, and spent three nights at the lodge. The food was delicious and healthy, with fish, salads, fruit, and vegetables. We were never hungry. We took four interesting tours with Gabriel: a forest walk, piranha fishing, watching caymans at night, and a visit to an indigenous village. We learned a lot. We stayed in the Amour cabin. The river view from the balcony was gorgeous, and the room was clean but small, with no shelves or hooks. We used the third bed to put our things. You can feel how proud the owners are of the place. The lodge is beside a small village with a local store, a craft store, and several churches. We had a great time and highly recommend it. Hopefully we'll come back someday.
