The room was so cramped for three friends that we could barely move around. To shut the bathroom door, you had to step into the shower, and the toilet lid kept hitting the wall. We asked them to replace it, but they wouldn’t, so we taped it to the counter. There were flies and mosquitoes in the room all the time, and a sewage smell both inside and outside the hostel. The neighborhood was awful, with a feel of being in the middle of a favela. The receptionists seemed completely unprepared for foreign tourists. The two stars are for Mauri, the night receptionist, who was always friendly, and for the breakfast staff. We stayed eight days and asked to pay for half an extra night because we checked out at 8:30 pm on a Saturday. They refused and charged us for a full extra night even though we weren’t there. We won’t return.

I’d read mostly negative reviews here, so I was nervous about bringing my family. Once we arrived, though, it wasn’t really as people had described, and we liked it a lot. The staff were helpful and attentive, and the place was clean, organized, simple, small, and cozy. Breakfast was wonderful, tasty, and varied. We were there to rest, and it suited us well. It’s very close to a calm, beautiful sea. I only wish there were parking, and the streets nearby were unpleasant because of the smell, though that’s down to the municipal administration. Thanks, girls! We were there last weekend.

Best tapioca I’ve ever had! I even told the Senhora from the kitchen I was going to take her home with me, and I wasn’t kidding 🤣 The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and tidy. It’s in a good location, too. Have I mentioned breakfast? Amazing. We loved it all ❤️🥰🫶
