Pousada Paraíso de Peroba

The pool area was really nice, and we liked hanging out at the little bar. Their snack was delicious, the beer and soda were cold, and the prices were great. The staff were so welcoming and did whatever they could to help. They treated all the guests really well, a thousand points for them! Our first room had a very strong paint smell, the bathroom flush wasn't working, and neither was the TV. They moved us to another room as soon as we asked. That one was very spacious and quite good. The tap and shower water was sometimes a little cloudy. The bedding was clean, but it looked dingy and stained, which was a bit uncomfortable. We liked the hospitality enough that we'd definitely stay there again if we return to Maragogi.

The breakfast had ingredients that seemed spoiled. The pool was dirty, and the staff were unfriendly. Rooms weren't cleaned every day, they didn't even take out the trash or replace towels. Doors and windows often open by themselves, which is dangerous.

The owners are a thousand points, and the family atmosphere was lovely. The inn came to the rescue for me and my family when we had trouble at another place in Maragogi, Pousada dos Cabanos. There's a heated pool with a barbecue and a hose, plus bar service and snacks. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, and breakfast is good. We only stayed one night, and that was enough. If we'd been there longer, we probably wouldn't have stayed. The bathroom and bedroom furniture, including the closets and bed and bath linens, could use updating. Our shower wasn't working, but since it was hot we just washed as best we could. The shower's heating element had burned out, and they could only replace it the next day.

The room wasn't the best, the door made a lot of noise when opening and the beds were disappointing too. Still, the staff were incredible and very welcoming, and the food was really good. Breakfast was basic but tasty. The place is near a great beach, markets, and restaurants. I'd recommend it, it's worth checking out.
