Pousada Porto dos Corais

The reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. The garden area is pretty and cosy, with lots of plants, and the pool is simple but pleasant. Breakfast is simple and pretty standard for a hotel, but tasty. The rooms need renovations. The bathrooms have problems, the shower doesn't work well, and the mattress is poor. The image below:

The staff were attentive, and the themed inn is really pretty. Prices are low, especially for water. The bathroom flush was weak, though, so I had to flush more than once. There may be a slight sea smell in the rooms. I didn't have trouble with mosquitoes, but they could be an issue depending on the season, so bring repellent. I’d say it’s a good place for a short stay.

The rooms and breakfast were what I liked most, along with the service. It’s a rustic inn, but clean and well organized.

We went in July 2025, and I wouldn’t return or recommend it. The shower didn’t work on our first day, and when I asked to switch rooms, the staff member resisted contacting the owner. We had to keep asking for the room to be cleaned. Breakfast had few choices and the bread wasn’t fresh, though the rest was okay. There isn’t a water dispenser anywhere in the inn, which made me wonder how they prepared the juices. The place needs maintenance: doors were broken and unpainted, and all the windows in the rooms were stuck shut.
