The staff were polite and helpful the whole time, and the owner/manager apologized sincerely, refunded us in full, and didn't charge for dinner. I appreciated how decently they handled things. Our stay itself was difficult. The power had already been out for more than 24 hours when we arrived, and no one had told us. Most rooms had no air conditioning, the lights kept flickering, and there was no wifi or phone signal. The menu was limited, and we had to move into a much smaller room, all while traveling with a small baby. Things can happen outside an establishment's control. What mattered was how they responded, and they were kind and honourable.

We only stopped in for a drink and some food, so we didn't stay overnight. Both the meal and service were excellent. The setting is top notch, and it's clear the new team is putting in real effort to make this a dream vacation spot again.

Butterfly House is a real gem on the Bahia coast. The beach is exceptional, and there’s lots of room to relax in the hotel grounds. The rooms were all comfortable and clean, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and cheerful. I couldn't recommend a trip here more.

The grounds are gorgeous, the food is good, and the staff provide great service. The bungalows have lovely decor, comfortable beds, and nice linens, with thoughtful details everywhere. A beautiful pousada, a notch above the other places available in every way.

We stopped for a drink by the beach and had a lovely time. The personnel were very friendly, and the food was excellent. Breathtaking pousada, and well worth a stop if you're doing the quad trail.
