Fantastic.

Disappointing. I felt misled because the photos are very old. The place is quite run down now and needs maintenance. There were cobwebs all over our room, including on the bathroom wall, which made me seriously question how well it had been cleaned. How long had that bathroom gone without a proper wash? The sheets were clean, at least. I didn’t cancel or ask for my money back only because of the price and because we weren’t going to spend time there. There was a disused door from our room into the owners’ house, so we could hear their TV and even conversations if they were arguing. That took away some sound privacy, for them as a couple as well as for us. The owners were friendly and welcoming. There was nothing in the minibar, and nowhere at the inn to get anything. The place is far from the beach, and you need a car to go anywhere. At night there was hardly anywhere to eat: one day there was only one very expensive pizzeria, and the next day there were two very expensive places. It’s better to stay in Barra Grande and just spend the day visiting the beach there.
I love this place and this family. This wasn’t my first stay at Home Suíte Home Taipu, and as always, I was welcomed so warmly. Moara is incredible, always willing to help and full of great tips for things to do. The inn is beautiful, and all the thoughtful little details make it special: towels arranged on the bed, a little paper boat in the bathroom, and small care items like a nail file, ENO, a pad, and cotton. Sr. Cecil and Dona Ester are wonderful too. They even helped organize a surprise birthday party for my friend. I’m already planning my next trip!
My first time in Bahia was unforgettable. I stayed at dona Ester’s inn, a wonderful person and a wonderful place. It’s a peaceful little spot where being close to nature feels magical. What touched me most was how much care, affection, and respect she shows every guest. She even looked after me because of my sun allergy. And senhor Cecil is as lovable as my grandfather. I loved every corner of the inn and the super cozy rooms. There were little flowers on my bed, and even in the bathroom. So beautiful! Moara is also an incredible person with such good energy. She welcomed me warmly and was affectionate, polite, fun, and helpful. Her itinerary is definitely the best way to explore Maraú. I had the best birthday of my life, and they even helped arrange a surprise party! dona Ester, Moara, and senhor Cecil, thank you for such a lovely welcome. You made me feel at home. This has become my favorite place on the Península de Maraú.
The natural pools are at the best beach, just a short distance from the inn. Moara, her mother Ester, and the kind, polite housekeeper welcomed us so warmly. Everything was clean and well organized, and breakfast was great. I even got the tapioca pudding recipe, haha. They gave us lots of outing tips and a map for getting around the peninsula. We had a spectacular stay and I really want to come back.
