The atmosphere was good and so was the food. Service was a little slow, but the staff were friendly.

We'd been searching around Mariana for traditional Minas Gerais food, especially with the May 1 holiday making it harder to find, and came across Sinhá Olímpia. It turned out to be an amazing meal that exceeded all our expectations. We ordered the classic chicken with okra and angu. It was fresh, well made and delicious, with homemade seasoning that brought back fond memories. There was a wait of around 35-40 minutes, but the food is made to order, so every minute was worth it. It's real, carefully prepared food, not fast food. Pamela was especially kind and attentive. She let us know the preparation time in advance, which made a real difference. We went on a Saturday night, and the atmosphere was calm and very pleasant. The coconut candy for dessert was wonderful, an absolute must. We'll definitely be back!
