Pousada Mauí - Caiobá

It costs too much for what you get. Breakfast was poor, with stale bread and coffee served cold.

The internet was really bad, and the only TV channels available were in Portuguese. Some upkeep is needed too, like the TV in the shared room and the fan in the restaurant, which has no air conditioning. Still, those are things I could overlook given how close the inn is to everything. It’s also very near the beach. Isabel and Ester are friendly, and breakfast is adequate. They prepared our low-carb meals when we asked, without any trouble. There’s a mini-fridge in the room, though it doesn’t chill as well as the shared refrigerator. The pool is small but works fine, and parking is uncovered on the street.

The location is great, just one block from the sand, and the pool was clean. Everything was tidy and well organized, and the owners and their son Douglas welcomed us warmly. Breakfast was simple but enough. I recommend staying at Maui!
