Chalés Monte Verde

Great!

We stayed at this inn from Friday to Sunday in chalet 6 with the hot tub, and it was the worst experience we've had. The room was spacious, but it smelled moldy. The bedding and towels did too, and my rhinitis flared up. The place felt dirty, and the pool was green and unusable. We only found out about the pool when we arrived. Breakfast was awful. The area was dirty, there weren't even glasses for juice, and there wasn't much variety. As other reviews mentioned, the ham was green. The cake had a horrible texture, and the little guava cookies were awful too. I love dogs, but there were several around, and on Saturday one stayed in the breakfast area. Aline wasn't there to keep an eye on things or replenish what was missing. Aline welcomed us at the chalet, but when we left, I sent her a message and she didn't come say goodbye. She told us to leave the key by the door. We chose this inn because of the reviews, but what we found didn't match them at all. Just a really bad stay.

The breakfast was really good, and I enjoyed the stay. The chalet was small, with little room to organize our bags, though it did have a kitchen. There are no heaters in the rooms, so they get very cold in winter. You have to light the fireplace, and the firewood costs extra.

It was extremely cold during our stay, but the owner, Fabrício, was very kind and friendly and provided everything we needed. We stayed in chalet 3, which comfortably fit my family of four. It had a heater that wasn't very powerful, but it helped a lot. Breakfast was tasty too.
