The best place ever!

Getting there is difficult, and if you have a low car, forget it. There also isn’t enough signage to help you spot the inn.

André and his wife were wonderfully hospitable from the start, always ready to help with kindness and good manners. The room and bathroom were clean, the fireplace worked well, and breakfast was simple but tasty, just as expected. The inn is far from the center, and the road is unpaved, full of holes and rocks that make the climb difficult. If it had been raining, our car wouldn’t have made it there. That’s part of the city’s infrastructure, since dirt roads and potholes seem to be standard around there. Two days in town was more than enough, as there isn’t a lot to do. The price matched what was offered, so I have no complaint about the value. I enjoyed seeing Monte Verde, but we won’t be returning.

The service was excellent, both over WhatsApp, where they replied quickly and helpfully, and in person. Sr Garcia, who looks after the inn, was warm, friendly, and quick to help. The shower had hot water and strong pressure, the room had a fireplace, and breakfast was delicious. The place itself is calm and pleasant. But the room smelled strongly of mold, including the bed linens, and we had to sleep after taking allergy medicine. The TV was missing, and neither the minibar nor the whirlpool worked. The room door had a broken handle, the balcony door was broken and wouldn’t close fully, and the barbecue area was neglected. The inn needs major repairs. I paid 800 for one night, and with all of these issues, it wasn’t worth it. I was really upset. I hope they can fix things, because the setting is nice and the service is incredible, but in its current condition I wouldn’t return.
