Pousada Serra Villena

Getting here from the town's main street means driving long stretches of badly maintained unpaved road. It makes me wonder whether Camanducaia municipality sees Monte Verde as a cash cow and puts very little into the infrastructure. The grounds are attractive and the location is beautiful. Staff were all very helpful, and the room was comfortable, though it could use modernization. Breakfast doesn't start until 9am.

Breakfast was all fresh and delicious, and I especially liked the garden fire in the evening. The rooms and shared areas were very clean, and the care put into the details showed throughout the stay. From check-in with Amanda at reception until we left, the service was attentive, friendly, and always helpful. The facilities are well cared for, and the atmosphere is cozy and peaceful. It was a wonderful stay that went beyond what I expected. I'll come back, and I'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and a special experience.

It's quiet here, and getting to the main street is easy by car, even though the pousada isn't very close to it. Outside fireplaces are lit at night, which is a lovely extra. The place is simple but welcoming, with clean rooms in good condition. They keep up with the cleaning and change towels and bedding whenever needed. Breakfast was generous and varied. The staff were very kind and friendly, especially Cris, who made us feel so welcome.

What we'll remember most is how warmly we were welcomed. The place is wonderful and we had unforgettable moments, but Cris at reception really stood out to us. It's rare to meet someone with such professionalism and such a bright spirit. We saw God in every part of her service, in the thoughtful way she spoke, her attention to detail, and her ready smile. Cris, you're a person of excellence. May you keep being a channel for God's blessings. It's clear to us that He has great works for your life and guides your path. We recommend this place wholeheartedly.
