Villa Bergamin

I was really disappointed with this place. The photos don’t match how worn everything looks. The TV wouldn’t turn off unless unplugged, there was a strong musty smell, and the owner suggested it might be from the firewood. The towels and blankets were old and torn, things were rusty, and the shower barely dripped. The toilet clogged the first time I used it. Parking was difficult to access, and it isn’t near the center. I have rhinitis, so I asked to change rooms because of the smell. The owner said I shouldn’t have come to Monte Verde. I liked her at first and she was helpful as far as she felt she was right, but that response ended it for me. I won’t recommend the place or return. We were in suite 6. They have a lot to improve.

We had a great stay in suite 7 at Villa Bergamin. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the location was very good. The owner was kind from our first contact and helped with everything we needed. There’s no breakfast at the guesthouse. She suggested places nearby, or you can bring your own food and make breakfast in the room, which is what we did. For the price, it’s a great option in Monte Verde and well worth it.

The peaceful beauty of Vila Bergamin made our stay feel restorative, with nature, light, and a deep sense of harmony all around. It was also a lovely place for joyful, easygoing moments together. From the moment we arrived, proprietária Lilian made us feel truly welcome through her thoughtful care and warmth. Every detail seemed prepared with affection, and we felt at home, or even in a little refuge for the soul. A place where the quiet soothes you, smiles come easily, and you leave feeling grateful.

We found this place on Airbnb at the last minute. My wife and I had been about to head back to Sorocaba, but decided to stay in town one more day. The owner was very attentive and treated us well. The place was clean and organized, and close to the town center. I recommend it.
